Walks and Talks 2012
Our programme of walks and talks offers visitors the chance to
explore a range of fascinating subjects inspired by the Museum and
its site.
Tickets cost £16 per person and include a hot meal in our Café
as well as access to the museum for the rest of the day. Places are
limited and tickets must be pre-booked. Please contact the Museum
Reception on 01299 250416 to make a booking.
Unless stated otherwise walks and talks begin at 11am and last
up to two hours before lunch is served.

Bats About Hartlebury - Friday 18 May - 7.30 -
10.30pm
Dare you join us as we track down the various
bats that live at the Castle? Participants meet at
7.30pm for a tasty seasonal meal in our Café. Afterwards
you will enjoy an illustrated talk about these fascinating
creatures and a walk around the Castle grounds using detection
equipment to identify them. Adult tickets £16, children's
tickets £8 – must be pre-booked.

A Bishop & His Books - Friday 25 May
Christine Penney, Hurd Librarian, will give an illustrated talk
on Bishop Hurd, the Hurd Library and some of the wonderful books it
holds. You will then be taken on a private tour of the Castle State
Rooms and the Library before lunch.

Curious About The Collection? - Wednesday 20 June
Join Anita Blythe and David Kendrick, our Collections Officers,
on a behind the scenes tour of our museum stores and get up close
to objects never before shown to the public.
Your own transport will be required for the 2 mile journey to
our off site stores.

Curious About the Castle? - Tuesday
17 July
- As part of the Festival of British Archaeology
Join David Kendrick, our Buildings
Archaeologist, for a walk around the Castle looking at interesting
architectural features and fascinating archaeological evidence of
times gone by.
