Family At War - EXHIBITION

Discover the world of the Lawley family in 1942 and learn about life on the Home Front in Worcestershire. Find out about rationing, the Home Guard, evacuees and local hospital camps as you explore how the average family did their bit to keep the country running, support those on the front line and ensure victory for the Allies.

Just Art!

Board the Mobile Museum bus and explore the new exhibition 'Just Art' which looks at many different forms of art including sculpture, drama, painting, poetry, decorative arts and dance.  Meet our artist in residence, get inspired and create some fantastic works of art and craft to take home!  Arty fun for all ages and abilities.

Bats About Hartlebury

Part of the Museums at Night initiative

Dare you join us as we track down the various bats that live at the Castle?  Participants meet at 7.30pm for a seasonal meal in our Café.  Afterwards you will enjoy an illustrated talk about these fascinating creatures and a walk around the Castle grounds using detection equipment to identify them.  Adult tickets £16, children's tickets £8 – must be pre-booked.

Wigs, Waistcoats & Wild Behaviour - EXHIBITION

From elegance to excess in Georgian Britain...

Find out about the elegant fashions, extravagant taste and wild behaviour of the Georgians. See beautiful examples of costume, home furnishings, books and other items from the Georgian era including a stunning Sedan Chair.  Get involved by designing your own Georgian library or trying a Georgian make over, but remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

As part of the Abberley and Malvern Hills Geofest - http://www.geopark.org.uk/

Come and learn more about rocks, fossils and dinosaurs with experts from the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Earth Heritage Trust.  Make a trilobite mask, cast a fossil, design your own ancient swamp or seascape, follow the Dino Detective Trail and meet Vernon the life size Velociraptor!
