Throughout the Summer Holidays

To help us celebrate our fantastic exhibition 'Way of the Warrior', why not drop in between 10.30am and 4.30pm and help us build our very own War Horse Joey - all materials free of charge and activity is suitable for all.

Scraptastic Warrier Costume

  • Wednesday 22nd July
  • Family Drop-in day, 11am - 3pm,
  • £2 for materials, no booking required

Taking inspiration from our exciting touring exhibition, join us to make shields, spears and head-dress……ready to do battle in the summer holidays

Calling all Romans!

  • Tuesday 28th July, 11am - 1pm
  • For 5 - 12 year olds
  • £4.50 per child

Come along to discover some real Roman treasures, including pots, glass and mosaic tessera.  Inspired by the Roman treasures, work with mosaic artist Tina Farrimond to create your own precious patterned tile to take home.

  • Spaces are limited, so booking is essential!

Build Boudicca's Camp

  • Thursday 6th August
  • Family Drop-in Day, 11am - 3pm,
  • £2 for materials, no booking required

Imagine that you are a tribal warrior living in the Iron Age, and preparing to challenge the Roman Army!  This is your opportunity to build a BIG, miniature camp - join us to make the scenery, construct round houses, farmsteads, forges and little Celts.

Calling Princesses, Princes and Warriors!

  • Wednesday 12th August, 11am - 1pm
  • For 5 - 12 year olds
  • £4.50 per child

Join us to create a mini-turreted world of castles and towers.  bring alve with peg doll people and animals.

  • Spaces are limited, so booking is essential!

Buckles, Beads, Brooches and Bangles

  • Monday 17th August, 11am - 1pm
  • For 7 - 12 year olds
  • £4.50 per child

Take inspiration from the Way of the Warrior exhibition, and come along to make your own dazzling costume jewellery.

Illuminated Letters, scrolls and sealing wax

  • Wednesday 26th August
  • Family Drop-in Day, 11am - 3pm,
  • £2 for materials, no booking required

Select some lovely paper, metallic paints and colourful inks to create a beautiful medieval masterpiece, sealed with wax.

Worcester has had many chemist shops, but only this one has been dismantled piece by piece and moved to the Museum!
On the first Tuesday of each month, 11.00am - 3.00pm, the doors will be open for you to take a peek inside and hear the fascinating story of how it came from the High Street.

Bite-sized Talks

Join our curators on the second Tuesday of every month for a fascinating lunchtime talk about our exhibitions and collections. For more information and a full list of talks please see our flyer.

The Activity Space

Based in the heart of the Museum and Art Gallery, the Children’s Activity Space is a lovely bright and welcoming place for all the family. Use the materials provided to create your own masterpiece and just sit and watch the children have fun! The Activity Space is available for hire at certain times, for more information please contact the Visitor Services Manager on 01905 25371.
